How to Get Our Products - Start Here!

We offer two ways to get RTF products. Our farm store is open Wednesday through Saturday, 9-4 daily. Most weeks we offer online preorders starting Mondays at 6 pm through Tuesday. Pickup hours are Fridays, noon to 4 pm. Please see the FAQs below for more information.

  • Q. Can I buy RTF products at the farm?

Yes! We have a self-service farm store at the farm which is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. A convenient self-checkout kiosk is available and we accept credit cards, digital wallets, and cash.

  • Q. Can I order online?

Absolutely! Most weeks we offer online preorders starting Monday at 6 pm. Place an order by Tuesday and we'll have your order packed and ready for pickup at the farm on Friday from noon to 4 pm. You can arrive anytime during these hours. Please do not order if you cannot come during pickup hours.

  • How can I get that sourdough bread?

The artisan sourdoughs from our partners at Prevail Bakehouse are all the rage! Prevail bakes for us once per week and delivers on Friday mornings. You are strongly urged to preorder bread since we often sell out. We also try to have some loaves in our farm store on Friday afternoons.

  • Q. Do you charge sales tax?

As a qualified farm in Tennessee, we are not required to charge sales tax on items grown on our farm and those produced by some other farmers. Products by other partners, products containing non-farm ingredients, and non-farm products may be subject to TN sales tax. Sales tax will be automatically calculated in the shopping cart.

  • Q. How does pickup work?

Picking up at the farm is a breeze! We offer free on-farm pickups on Fridays from noon to 4 pm. You can also shop at our farm store during pickup hours. Please do not order if you cannot come during pickup hours.

  • Q. Do you deliver?

With the opening of our new farm store, we are not currently offering delivery. Please join our email list or follow us on social for future updates on delivery options.

  • Q. Help! I've had an emergency and can't come during pickup hours. What can I do?

Life happens. We get it. Call or text us at (615) 628-7079 to discuss an alternate pickup time. Because we custom harvest and pack just for you, we are unable to refund preorders after Tuesday.

  • Q. Can I visit the farm?

We practice full transparency with our growing and farming practices and welcome you to visit to see how we do things. Pickup hours are a great time to visit since we are outside to greet customers. We no longer schedule farm tours due to the heavy workload required to keep the farm running.

  • Q. What is the meaning behind the farm name?

Our farm name is inspired by this ancient Chinese proverb which has deep meaning for our family: "An invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break."

  • Q. What are your growing practices?

Red Thread Farm practices sustainable, regenerative farming methods and we're constantly learning new and better ways to produce nutrient-dense, healthy, clean food. We grow food on a human scale using hand tools with very minimal tillage to promote the health of our living soils. We never use toxic chemicals or synthetic fertilizers. Red Thread Farm practices full transparency with our customers, so don’t hesitate to ask us anything!

  • Q. Are you certified organic?

Although we practice organic growing methods, we have chosen not to be certified by the USDA. As a micro farm, most of our customers know us and see how we grow and care for the land. We think transparency with our community is more effective than governmental oversight.
