Fresh soybeans are a rare treat! Edamame is the Japanese name for immature soybeans and literally means “stem beans,” presumably because they were traditionally sold with the stems still attached. The most popular method of preparation is to boil them in salted water and enjoy straight from the pods, but these lime green beans can be used in everything from soups to salads.
Unlike commercially grown soybeans, ours are non-GMO and completely free of chemicals. For each order, you'll get a large bunch of pods still on their stalks. Simply pull off the pods and refrigerate.
